On Saturday, 10th September 2016, local resident Rachael Terry will be doing a Skydive in aid of Naomi House and Jacksplace. The sky dive will take place at Old Sarum Airfield with Go Skydive and Rachael will be jumping from a staggering 15,000 feet. Photos and a video will be available to see after this amazing experience has taken place.
Naomi House & Jacksplace hospices provide expert hospice care to more than 280 life-limited and life-threatened children, young people and their extended families from Hampshire, Wiltshire, Dorset, Berkshire, West Sussex, Surrey and the Isle of Wight.
Their nursing, care, play and family support teams are experts in delivering the crucial emotional, spiritual and developmental aspects of care that families need.
When a child or young person is diagnosed with a life-limiting condition Naomi House & Jacksplace becomes their home from home.
This standard of care costs money; £7 million per year to be precise. With only 10% of income coming from Government and statutory sources, Naomi House & Jacksplace are reliant on the support of people like Rachael.
Rachael is also having a charity music event at The Langley Tavern in Lepe Road, Langley called ‘A Gig with a Pig’ on Sunday 28th August from 12.30 till late. There will be 6 bands, a hog roast, ice cream, tombola, raffle (with some amazing prizes to be won – tickets available from The Langley prior to the event), bouncy castle, cake and sweet stall, craft stalls and possibly more! It will be a fun family event with some great music.
